Cyclists welcomed at Manoir de Jouralem
We are delighted to be able to provide facilities tailored to those cycling in the Loire Valley. Manoir de Jouralem is accredited with France’s Accueil Vélo scheme, which is a national label awarded to establishments which are particularly suited to cycling tourism and with services adapted to cyclists. Accueil Vélo allows cyclists to benefit from appropriate hospitality and services at inspected accommodations.
The cycle route network is being developed to link all the national and regional routes together to create an integrated system of routes across France and beyond. Manoir de Jouralem is located directly on the Layon Aubance route, and we are less than 5km from the Loire à Vélo route which follows the river Loire for 800kms. A section of the Loire à Vélo route between Saumur and Angers coincides with the Vélo Francette route, which links Ouistreham in Normandy with La Rochelle on the Atlantic Coast.
At Manoir de Jouralem cyclists receive the same welcome that we reserve for all of our guests and a glass of Crémant de Loire. Having been cyclists ourselves we recognise that your needs are slightly different and we are delighted to offer secure garaging for bikes and a bike workshop with enough tools to complete most routine maintenance. If the problem is more serious we can arrange to transport your bike to a reputable bike repair shop. It’s not just the bike that needs care and attention; our rooms have amazing bathrooms which, coupled with laundry and drying facilities, will set you up for your next journey. But before you do you might want to indulge yourselves in our gourmet table d’hôtes dinner made with seasonal and local produce, served with wines to match the menu.
After a night in our sumptuous beds you might be tempted to have a lazy start, but for those who are keen to get back in the saddle we can provide breakfast from 0630hrs. We can guarantee that you won’t leave Manoir de Jouralem with anything less than a full stomach.
For the onward journey we provide a detailed weather forecast for the area plus, if required, we will arrange for your luggage to be transported to your next accommodation (there is a fee for this service, dependant on the distance and quantity of luggage). If you are traveling with a cycle tour company then we will liaise with them for luggage transfer on your behalf.
Guests who come to the Loire Valley for a cycling holiday but need to hire bikes can do so directly from a local hire shop. We can either arrange for the bikes to be delivered to our boutique b&b or we can take you to the hire shop.
